Simply amazed

Actually I've been simply amazed about various things lately,
not to mention the political situation around here...
Well, it's spring and springs I love.

At the Studio

It's been rainy or foggy for most of the week,
but today I finally had a chance to wear my
new spring shoes. Oh how light they were!
A new painting in progress abowe. Would be
great to document the painting process more
carefully but I always seem to get too carried
away with it to consentrate on anything else.

Busy as a magpie

Signs of spring... Patches of grass on the ground,
water pouring from the drainpipe, lighter coats
in town - or your calendar filling up with to-dos
and deadlines. I noticed that someone else in the
 neighbourhood is busy too!

The Big Nightingale

I finally got my piece of Maija Louekari's design.
I actually bought that fabric last summer, but it
took me this long to get my good old sewing machine
back home from school (as it's mostly made of metal
it's quite a nice one to carry around in town and
in the bus...) A dream for the summer would be a long
curtain of Louekari's print Kaiku - Echo.
